About Artist

I am a problem solver. I used this in my career as a mathematics professor in Community College and use it now in my art career. But there are other parts of my life that also contributed to my art. My mother was an artist and I’d like to think I inherited some of her talent. My father was a survivor of the Holocaust and lost many family members including his parents. Those that survived were scattered all over the world including England, Mexico, and Australia. And finally, I spent much of my time alone as my parents ran a neighborhood grocery store which demanded a lot of their time. I was used to entertaining myself, many times through art. I should add that I took ballet well into my teens and I know it gave me the discipline I needed to do my art.

I love portraiture and abstract painting. I work in various mediums including oil, acrylic, mixed media, and collage.
